Happy Spring!

OK, we promise we’re going to start updating this regularly. So keep checking it, all right?

Things are starting to get rolling around here. We got our seed order about a month ago, and planted our first seeds (peppers and parsley) about two and a half weeks ago. This Tuesday we’re sowing flats of onions, leeks, and scallions. There’s one  room in our house that gets really warm if you keep the door shut – way warmer than the thermostat is set for – so we germinate seeds in there.

Don’t you just love Daylight Savings Time? And all the bulbs that are starting to come up everywhere.  Some thoughts on spring from greater minds than ours:

A little Madness in the Spring

Is wholesome even for the King,

But God be with the Clown –

Who ponders this tremendous scene –

This whole Experiment of Green –

As if it were his own!

~Emily Dickinson

whistles far and wee
