Hail No!

For your enjoyment on Thursday we plan to be harvesting:

  • Scallions
  • Cauliflower
  • Snap peas
  • Purslane
  • Kale

We’ll be posting some recipes in a couple days since some of you may not be familiar with purslane.

We want to say thank you to the folks that came out and participated in the chicken harvest.  Stay tuned and I’ll post some pictures and thoughts of the day.  We had fried chicken today and it was absolutely delicious.

We’ll see you all on Thursday and we should have some extra eggs to sell this week, so just ask  if you are interested in buying some.

Since this is the vacation season we will tell/remind you that if you are going to be out of town, or just unable to come pick up your veggies, you can send anyone you know to get them.  We’re not here to govern who eats the food we grow, we just want someone local to eat it!  And, if you are in a hurry on a Thursday, let us know by noon Wednesday and we’ll pack up your veggies and they’ll be ready for you to just grab and go.  Basically we want to get the food to you the  easiest way possible so you can cook and and enjoy it.

The garden is really looking good thanks to some trusty helpers and a little bit of warm weather; we encourage you to come check it out and see what your food looks like in the ground.  Thanks again for all the support that you have shown.

We’re looking at having a potluck sometime late August-ish, and we really want everyone to be able to make it. If you know of any reason you might not be around sometime between August 15 and September 15, let us know so we can try not to schedule the potluck when you’re not available!

Cheers
